Design Of The Sem

Final Product

Let me show you all a new design of tap. It was in my house designed by my housemate. You don't stand near the basin to use the water. You need to stand some distance away from the basin because the position of the tap will definitely shoot water horizontally like projectile motion we learned during our Alpha year.

Well... We actually ruined up a few taps while trying to replace the old one which is leaking (even broke 1 of it because apply too much force while trying to tighten it) and due to time constraint we have to fix something there to stop water from flowing out uncontrollably. This is how efficient 2 mechanical engineering students are. Hahaha....

Something New?

Today was the demo for the Martial Arts Corridor. Well... The demo has its ups and downs. Anyway I was trying something new to me this time. Instead of smashing the maximum quantity of roof tiles in 1 technique, I tried to do it with average amount of roof tiles with different techniques (to be excact 3 techniques only). 4 pieces for punch, 4 pieces for elbow and 3 pieces for hammer fist.

Elbow wasn't that interesting in a way that i need 2 times to get it done. Somehow ran out of focus for the 1st elbow strike.

As usual thanks to the seniors who taught me last time and still willing to guide although already working and there's stil plenty of room for improvements.
Let's enjoy some video and pictures...

A Rainy Scene

Sitting in my regular "cafe" underneath its shelter enjoying a rainy scene was what I did last week during my dinner. Things were calm followed by some bright lightning and small drops of water. Then it rains..... And I see people rushing away from the scene, hawkers setting up their "secret weapon" like gigantic mushroom popping out in the street and even some romantic elderly "ang moh" couple continue strolling in the street under 1 small umbrella. I even had to bear a scene right in front of me where a younger couple hug each other like they're on bed (very paris) but I didn't dare to take their photos. I'm afraid if they raise their voice which will trigger my response and stimulate me to make a not ergonomic decision. Hahaha....

My New Toy

Come I show off again and Tai Khim sure very dulan me. I got a new toy recently. It's a men's toy. Sometimes females do play with it as well (just not as often as men) although they might feel uncomfortable with this toy due to the hardcore'ness' of this toy.

Well... This is a very good toy for men to increase their physical fitness besides using it when they need to release tension for the sake of many factors. Honestly speaking I'm kinda addicted to this toy because by looking at it each time I got stimulated and I can't resist myself from playing with it although i only have very little time to spare. But beware when playing with it. It may cause slight discomfort and pain if we are too eager, impatient or impulsive or worst still, applying the wrong techniques.

I know... I know... This toy is meant to be used, abused, tortured or whatever words you use and the slight discomfort and pain drives you even more wild and energetic. Enough of words... Let's have a look at it rather than keep imagining. "A Picture Says A Thousand Words"

Let's Get It Started

Holidays... is like a word I just mention yesterday but it has just ended. A new trimester has also just started. Week 1 is ending. So free nothing to do except Taekwondo because our handsome lecturer Dr Dirk went back to his hometown, Germany (very engineer country).

Things are getting tougher and faster. Very soon I have to see the next chapter of life. Nevermind.... Let's get things we can see to be done first.

Short trimester, many plans in mind... classes, midterm tests, assignments, taekwondo, tournament are the few words keep running around in my mind. Stil got a lot to achieve in both my engineering course and taekwondo.

Let's Get Motivated And Get Things Started!!!

As Calm As Midnight

How nice if the daytime is as calm as midnight with the reduced of a lot of unnecessary distraction. The midnight environment minus the usually sleepy time is a much more better time to work on something. The quietness, calmness and coolness of midnight really feels what is meant by quiet, calm and cool.

Adding in a decent working space with the appropriate basic things like table, chair, lightning and maybe a little bit of soft music is an almost perfect working condition. (no such things as 100% perfect)

Don't Judge A Book By Its Number Of Pages

A thick book with many lousy contents is much useless than a smaller and compact book packed with high quality contents.

How much "quantity" of something someone has cannot conclude the quality of of the person. But it's always the case when someone is always judge from the quantitative side. This can prove how naive of some people's mentality.

Attractive doesn't mean Practical
Be practical my friends... :-)

You See Me Good, I See You Good

Plz direct translate the title to cantonese to get the exact meaning.

Very often we look at others and think they are enjoying their jobs and in the other way round people look at us and think we are also enjoying our jobs. It's always the case when we often complain what we are doing is..... (thousands of negative feedback).

Well... For most of the humans work for survival purposes but there are also some lucky ones who worked for their interests. But there's nothing in this world where we enjoy 100%.

It just depends on how we look at one's job and define our enjoyment and sufferings.

How Much Is Enough?

When we don't have something we want, we find all sorts of way to get them. When we get them we tend to feel boring. When we have too much of them we start to get rid of them.

So how much is enough?
I don't know.

But too much of something is definitely not good.
