Let's Get It Started

Holidays... is like a word I just mention yesterday but it has just ended. A new trimester has also just started. Week 1 is ending. So free nothing to do except Taekwondo because our handsome lecturer Dr Dirk went back to his hometown, Germany (very engineer country).

Things are getting tougher and faster. Very soon I have to see the next chapter of life. Nevermind.... Let's get things we can see to be done first.

Short trimester, many plans in mind... classes, midterm tests, assignments, taekwondo, tournament are the few words keep running around in my mind. Stil got a lot to achieve in both my engineering course and taekwondo.

As Calm As Midnight

How nice if the daytime is as calm as midnight with the reduced of a lot of unnecessary distraction. The midnight environment minus the usually sleepy time is a much more better time to work on something. The quietness, calmness and coolness of midnight really feels what is meant by quiet, calm and cool.

Adding in a decent working space with the appropriate basic things like table, chair, lightning and maybe a little bit of soft music is an almost perfect working condition. (no such things as 100% perfect)

Don't Judge A Book By Its Number Of Pages

A thick book with many lousy contents is much useless than a smaller and compact book packed with high quality contents.

How much "quantity" of something someone has cannot conclude the quality of of the person. But it's always the case when someone is always judge from the quantitative side. This can prove how naive of some people's mentality.

You See Me Good, I See You Good

Very often we look at others and think they are enjoying their jobs and in the other way round people look at us and think we are also enjoying our jobs. It's always the case when we often complain what we are doing is..... (thousands of negative feedback).

Well... For most of the humans work for survival purposes but there are also some lucky ones who worked for their interests. But there's nothing in this world where we enjoy 100%.

It just depends on how we look at one's job and define our enjoyment and sufferings.

How Much Is Enough?

When we don't have something we want, we find all sorts of way to get them. When we get them we tend to feel boring. When we have too much of them we start to get rid of them.

So how much is enough?
I don't know.

But too much of something is definitely not good.

What Is Trend To An Engineer?

In my "hao lian" opinion, a successful engineer should create trends for consumers to follow instead of himself/herself "chasing" the trend together.

Many times I see products having damn a lot of good function which we don't need or in other words don't even have the chance to utilize them but yet people still buy them like hotcake because it is yeng.

The good side is the engineers are doing good job. The bad side is people's ability in reasoning out things is getting "lauya".

However there's must always be good and bad. The concern is just whether the 2 will be balance or not.

Satisfaction

No... It's not about Benny Bennasi. It's about gaining self-satisfaction in our life.

To do something more extraordinary than others does not produce self-satisfaction although we think that we have defeated someone because the "others" we are facing might not be the best opponent. They might be lousy or even if they are good, there are gooder and bestest opponent out there. But to do something considered extraordinary for ourselves produces sky high self-satisfaction because we are our own's best opponent.

Got Money So What?

Actually the title refers to myself. Btw I didn't haolian with my money la. After all I'm not loaded with cash today. In future I'll try my best to get myself loaded with cash til walking halfway pants also fall off or bank cancel off my account because they cannot accomodate that much of cash I deposit (You must have a dream for your dream to come true).

On one fine day I went to search for a pair of suitable running shoes for myself (Trying to become fitter and healthier because people always say exercise is healthy... haha...). Went to look around many shops for discounted items since running shoes are meant to be spoiled faster than my casual shoes. No need so expensive and to tell the truth I have limited budget laaa.... Almost gave up of searching due to my just-recover-from-sick condition. Kinda blur blur that day.

Suddenly came across a shop with a big signboard. On the signboard is written a GIGANTIC word of SALE. The moment you look at the word is as though the signboard is screaming at you to tell they're having sales. Inside the shop there's a young salesman who look pro'er' than me. So i ask him to recommend me and the dialogue is roughly :-

Me: Would you recommend me a pair of running shoes for outdoor and quite multipurpose?

Salesman: Ok...Let me check out what type of arch your leg is? Hmm... Ur leg is (something something this and that). I recommend you to take this model because of (this factor and that factor). Let me check your size (really took out an instrument to measure my foot). Ok... The suitable size for you is size 9.

Me: Ok... Can show me the shoes that are suitable for me.

(Checking out from his list and finally found one and one only model left with my size and also within my budget I told him earlier)

Me: A bit tight la. Can try size 10 (Since size 10 I will have more choices of shoes)?

Salesman: Can but I won't sell it to you. Because it will injure you. Size 9 is the only size you can buy. In (not mentioning brand) SHOES CHOOSE YOU. YOU DON'T CHOOSE SHOES. NO NEED TO CHOOSE NICE LOOKING SHOES SINCE WE'RE NOT SELLING FASHION BUT SELLING FUNCTION.

Of cause he explained a lot which seem very logic and furthermore he's the most helpful salesman of the day. I bought the pair of shoes. Just waiting to test them soon to feel how good the application matches the explanation.

Good People Is Not Good Hearted

What shit am I crapping here again? Good hearted people are definitely good people right? Don't know la.... I like to see things the other way round. Perhaps I was unfortunate to learn a different type of English. So sad ah... Wasted so much time to learn a language common people won't understand. haha...

Well... In my type of English I think good people are people with everything good. Everything good means that person must be having a good heart as well right?

WRONG!!!

The worst confusion of this definition is we cannot open up a person's body and look into the heart. Even he/she allows us to operate the body how to judge whether it's good hearted or bad hearted? Physically it's just a piece of organ red/pink in color pumping red color liquid I call blood (Not sure the other type English call what).

This is where I separate good people and good hearted people as 2 different types of people.

Maybe I show off a little bit with some vocabulary I learned in school??? "Abstract" and "Concrete" (I hope so I still remember the application. If wrong just laugh in your heart ok??? Don't purposely make me shy.)

Good People should be concrete since he/she must posses everything good in physical form.

Good Hearted People should be abstract since even he/she allows us to have a look at the heart in its physical form, judgement cannot be made.

You are welcome to disagree with me. But I very stubborn and kiasu one la. I must agree with myself only. Otherwise it's shy to lose you know?
